"Cope's Barn with Cows, Stirton Road, Wycliffe, BC"

Cope's barn on is a monumental structure on Stirton Road, in Wycliffe, just south of Marysville, BC.  The big old barn blocks the morning sunlight and its  aging metal roof panels glow with a rusty pinkish hue.


Behind, in the near distance, is the eastern slope of "The Butte".  I added the cows and the narr

    Tanhauser House was relocated to Fort Steele Heritage Park and now sits close to the embankment overlooking the Kootenay River.


    Visiting the donkey in a nearby paddock is a highlight of my visits to Fort Steele, so I added three to complete this composition.  The golden yellow morning light illuminates the
