A mother animal with her newborn calf or fawn is one of Nature's most touching sights. The mothers have survived a long, cold winter and a lengthy gestation period to give birth in the Spring to their babies. The calves and fawns rely on their mothers for food and safety. The Elk and the Mountain Caribou will stay within the safety of a herd while Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer and Moose offspring will rely on the wisdom, love and courage of a single parent.
